This watch was a good Christmas present recently. So far 's impeccable, both in appearance and accuracy, and being a well-made Seiko hope that it will remain so for any year. From experience with my older Seiko watch, you 're meant for life in the real world. R rA brief comment in a previous review of age (above): I Don 't know what kind of "Seiko " the reviewer had, but the Hardlex crystal didn ' t zero in a cotton shirt. That's not physically possible. It 's is halfway between the hardness of minerals and sapphire crystal. Hardlex is as good as sapphire in daily use. It 's also more flexible and much less likely to break than the sapphire. For this reason NASA Hardlex crystal specified for its astronauts 'Omega watches. R rBTW, this beautiful, high quality watch is a bargain at current price of $ 157.

I think for that price, you should 't get a crystal acrylic, you should get something that zero doesn ' t so easily (against a cotton shirt?). Next time he 'll probably be a Swiss made with a sapphire crystal.

I have this clock for Christmas, and put him on the Naval Observatory time at http://www.time.gov/. A month later, it is in lock step, just right. It 's also a very nice looking timepieces.
